I didn't see it mentioned in the comments of firebird.conf either,
so I guess since running the ib_udf.sql was done to my database,
rather than the service, I didn't realize that the change to
firebird.conf was service-level.
I do see a few docs out there now that talk about changes to
firebird.conf and remind you to restart the service. I don't think
I'll be able to forget it now :-)
