Im inclined to agree with you - but I think if we have to support it, then
it can be done with options. But since as I understand it, it only affects
Unicode users I doubt many are relying on it, and if they are it's a very
bad thing to rely on.

HOWEVER there are many of us who DO rely on the fact that VarChar(90) should
only store 90 chars! Like ever other DB does...
