We would like to use Firebird as an embedded database in one of our
applications. With a .NET app this is rather easy, but in our case we
need to refer to the database file with an ODBC connection.

So far we have been unable to access a Firebird db without having the
service installed.

Has anyone already done this or know how to do this?
