I just joined this group in the hope someone can get me going again
on a strange problem I'm stuck on.
The problem:
If I create a user for my database and grant him rights (all) to all
(data) tables and try to connect to a table I get the message 204
table unknown. If I grant rights to this user for the systemtables I
wont get any error and it ll just function normally.
So it seems as if firebird cant read the system tables of my
database as long as the current user hasn't got rights for them. I
really dont like the idea of granting rights to systemtables to all
user as you probably can imagine.
Hope someone here can help me as I am out of ideas.
Things I ve tried:
-Re-creating the database using EMS IB/FB metadata (same problem)
-Creating a dummy database for testing (no problems!)
-re-installing firebird (same problem)
As using a new database wont couse the problem I ll post the
creationscript here, I cant find anything in there that could be the
couse but maybe you can.
