I'm running Firebird 1.0.3 (Linux). Every once in a while I'll get the
following error (this is from the logs):

Database: /opt/interbase/isc4.gdb
internal gds software consistency check (cannot start thread)

Does anyone know what might be causing this? The system works fine,
normally, but once this starts popping up it continues to pop up).
Some additional background info: when this happens it's because my
application server is trying to adjust/fill a connection pool, and it
complains that it can't fill the pool because it is unable to attach to
the password database, which traces back to the "cannot start thread"
error from Firebird.
