footprint.
Without someone to personally take charge and working on the port or a
group of people to fund someone else to do the port, nothing is going to
happen.
The ports which are currently available are the direct result of need,
and investment of time and/or money.
For my own perspective, Broadview Software recognized early on that it
was in our interest to provide $$$ to fund the active development of the
project. A better engine means a better product for us / our clients.
That is why we were one of the first Gold Level sponsors of the Firebird
Foundation. Over the last 3 years we have contributed over $25,000 USD
to fund the project goals.
