Basically, yes. I've been following along in the Firebird 1.0 Quickstart
PDF, and it simply doesn't cover the topics addressed in my email.

But I think I've just gotten both my questions answered - the utilities
documentation and user management stuff id in the Operations Guide
(OpGuide.pdf) downloadable from ibphoenix.com
