You need to add localhost: in front of your database path.

Subject: [firebird-support] Unavailable Database

Hi
I've just now installed the latest version of Fire-Bird, downloaded from the
web, and are busy converting my application from Interbase to Firebird.
I've unistalled Interbase first and installed Firbird Superserver,
application only. When I then try to connect to the database I've gotten the
following error 'Unavailable Database'. I then uninstalled Firebird, and
installed the Superserver with the option 'services' and still get same
error.

I am using Delphi 7, with the IB components. Does anybody have any Ideas
where I can start looking for the problem?
or should I start using the DBExpress components.

Thank you
Johan Fourie
