Classic Server with over 900 connections. About once a week, we have
to reboot the server because we cannot get connected to the database.
Using IBExpert, it reports that it cannot locate "localhost" but, on
the cmd line, I can ping 127.0.0.1.
The limit of 1024 connections per server, does it also apply to
Classic? Somehow I thought that, since each connection gets its
own "copy" of the server, the limiting factor would be resources and
not connections.
Could it be something else related to losing TCP/IP connections to the
Firebird port?
Thanks!
