I'd recommend looking at virtual servers for this - there are now choices
between VMWare, VirtualPC and XEN. It is much, much safer to set up clean
rooms to test in than to run multiple servers on the same box.

You know you need to backup a database on a v2.0 server by using a v1.5
client don't you? Of course the backup won't restore properly to 1.5 if
it contains features that 1.5 doesn't understand.
