I'm developing software on top of Firebird.
So I want to test Firebird 2.0 to see improvements as early as possible.
Of course all my customers use Firebird 1.5.
So i want to connect to FB 2 and FB1.5 databases on the same machine.
I know i can restore a FB 1.5 backup to FB 2 but i cannot do it the
other way (FB2 -> FB1.5),
and thats often needed.
One as service and one as application would be sufficient, but it's not
simple like only changing ports.
