What satan that are you trying to find details between decimal and
numeric without reading any document and testing?

decimal is numeric!
some numerics also decimal!
humans use decimal based numerics!
computers use binary based numerics! also can display it in hex
format to display to human or to transmiting them in readable
format..
binary based numerics uses its special name format like as
integer, float.
there is no usage real-BCD formated data in FB.
DECIMAL pseudo type abtains SQL level compatibility between FB and
others.
decimal clause more friendly for high level users like you.
have u ever use oracle? what are real differents between numeric
fields?
