Firebird's ADO.Net driver.

This was mainly meant as a warning. But, it is also not guaranteed
that future Firebird client libraries will be compatible with today's
IBX. But, this would likely be only in a few major versions of
Firebird. As, you might already know, Firebird is already starting to
diverge from Interbase, and it will be more apparent with Firebird
version 3.0. So, basically, the message is: don't expect Interbase
connection components to stay compatible with Firebird.

I can't answer this question because my company hasn't upgrade to D8.

If you want a true .Net application using a .Net connection library,
you should be using Firebird's ADO.Net driver to connect to Firebird.
You can get the driver from Firebird's download page.
