Subject Re: [firebird-support] Installing 1.5.1 on Win98

Hi Robert

Keep persisting with windows 98 , if you do a search of the yahoo group you will find lots
of valuable info.
I have a customer running 40 machines just now with a mix of win95 !,win98,me,wink2k
and linux all have firebird installed without any problems.

The gds32.dll not found probably means that during the install it was not copied to the
system directory.

Simply copy the gds32.dll from the firebird install dir\bin directory and either copy it to
your app directory or the windows\system directory.

I always do a search first for gds32.dll and delete any old instances.

I also suggest you get Helens book, all is explained in there !.
