Hi
When performing a Backup - Restore on a DB, the fysical size of the
file always drops.
Why is it, that it is this way ?
Can I do something similar to db without having to go through a
Backup - Restore ?
The reason I ask is, that every month or so we do a backup - restore.
The restore being done here makes the DB go faster than before.
But I can't figure out why.
My transactions are always nice and close to each other.
Michael
PS.
I do a Backup each night.
But I NEVER do a automatic RESTORE.
This I do manually once a month!
