Hi,
I dont know how many others use Windows loopback addresses
for weird and wonderful things like secure tunnelling. If
you do then beware of Windows XP Service Pack 2 - as it
disables all loopback addresses except 127.0.0.1.
See: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884020
for details and if you need to contact MS for the hotfix.
The hotfix does work, so that much is a relief.
Considering the many and varied configurations that I know
people on this list use, I thought this information may be
useful to others (having had to work it out the hard way
for myself :-)
