I'm installing Firebird 1.5 on Linux for the first time. I do not
understand what NPTL is, nor when I should use the NPTL version and
when I should use the other one.

- Which one is the best for RedHat 9 ?
- Any good link about POSIX and NPTL "for newbie" would be
appreciated.
