Did you use the .local files for the 3 dlls (fbclient.dll, msvcrt.dll,
msvcp60.dll) in the same folder as your app?

I'm pretty sure it's Windows ME and beyond that respect this .local dll
usage. It just forces your app to load the dll files from your local
directory rather than using the system path first.
