Subject RE: [firebird-support] Windows XP SP 2 and connecting to a (Linux) server

Not so much a comment, but a question...

Is there a way, with SP2, to programmatically open up ports on the Windows
Firewall so that users don't have to be instructed on doing this sort of
thing? I know we've been living with Microsoft's unsecure OS for years, but
I have grave reservations about instructing SP2 users on how to open up
ports on Firewalls (at least based on some of the users I have to deal
with).
