This is the only applicable entry in the log (as you can see, this is a

I started recreating the foreign key before I got your response, but
I'll try rebuilding the indexes.

Try to follow Helen's advice and rebuild indices in this database.
Also, try backup/restore database with -verbose and check output for
this
error.
And, may be, some entries in firebird.log exist about it?
