If I use
GLD:DatabaseName=www.jvz.co.za:FBT.FDB'
or
GLD:DatabaseName=www.jvz.co.za:/FBT.FDB'
or even
GLD:DatabaseName=www.jvz.co.za:/testit/FBT.FDB' (which does not even exist)

I get error fb3.bmp http://www.jvz.co.za/firebirderror

OK I have now put FBT.FDB in www.jvz.co.za/firebirdtest.
For all to see and play with<g>
SYSBBA and masterkey will work.
Can anybody access it?

In this case the connection protocol is TCP/IP. I connected to my DB via
the Internet in this form with the following connection string:
www.mysite.com:alias_name or
www.mysite.com:full_database_path_with_database_name.
