Could be the cause of *your* problem - why wouldn't it be? You can't know
unless you try. If your problem was endemic with 1.5 or 1.5.1, we'd all
have it. But we don't. You should have the correct client for the server
version, regardless.

The 1.0 client library is for the 1.0 server. There's two years of
bugfixes and enhancements between 1.0 and 1.5, and nearly six months of
bugfixes and enhancements between 1.5 and 1.5.1.
