As one of my customers is about to replace their servers, I am taking
the opportunity to move from IB6 open source to FB1.5. The customer
has 3 sites all of which have their own databases, but each site uses
the other site's data. For example, invoices are compiled at one site
for all 3 sites. As this will take a period of time, there will be an
interval when some sites are using IB6 and others FB1.5. Will this
cause any problems? Can the sites with IB6 installed see the data on
FB1.5 and vice versa? I am using dialect 1 and am not using any of
the new FB1.5 features at present.
