Clients may connect to as many database servers / databases as you like, even multiple times to
each. So yes, if you need to monitor the same information across similar databases (at different
locations), that's entirely possible from within one client application. You can even use the two-
phase commit if you need to modify multiple database simultaneously, under a single transaction
control (if that ever comes up.)
