exact same situation.
The extra memory is getting used by the windows system cache, not firebird.
Check in the task manager - performance tab to see what I mean next time you
do a restore.
our machines are probably configured to use that cache differently.
I think its stupid to starve a machine of RAMl, but Bill isnt answering his
cellular so I dont think it will be fixed for a while :)
