We'll need a bit more information. Can you give us the statistics of
the database? Use GSTAT.exe to retrieve the database header, which
contains the statistics and some other useful information. Try to
get that information before you do the backup and restore.

My suspicion is that it might be related to garbage collection,
because of the high number of records that you inserted. Did you do
the insert within one single transaction or did you commit after a
certain amount of records?
