Subject Re: [firebird-support] Linux server version to use which supports gds32.dll on WIN32 PC
Author Alan Davies
Hi
Any version hosted on a Linux server will support windows connectivity.
The gds32.dll is only used on the client - the windows box. Make sure
that any UDFs that you use are available and placed in the correct
folder. Remember also that you need to connect to your database with a
string such as
linuxserver:/appsfolder/databasename.gdb which would equate to
c:\appsfolder\databasename.gdb on windows
It works a treat.
