FWIW, the error thrown is just an 'Oh dear, the server has died suddenly'
kind of message. It could have (possibly) tens or hundreds of causes. It
looks, in its long integer form to be quite exotic, but as has been
pointed out it is nothing more than -1 or 0xffffffff.
That said, it is still worth upgrading to Fb 1.5.1, as it does have
several bug fixes in it.
