Hi:
I use Firebird 1.5 running over Windows 2000 Server(2GB RAM) with a
single database.
The database contains information for an application of transports with
a very great
development.
GDB File has 5GB for the moment.
There are hours of the day in which I have 180 connections to the BD
and the system responds very fast.
There are WAN users connect through FR and DSL, and LAN users.
The most of the clients uses WIN98.
The application client is developed with delphi 6 and FIB+ components.
Lately I have stability problems:
The service does not fall, my impression is that it is blocked,
and the service does not accept connections.
The existing connections are blocked.
When this takes place, attempt to stop the service and to start it
again, but is not possible;
while the service memory reachs to about 350/400 MB.
the only form to continue working is to reinitiate the server.
The database is copied and recovered once to the month.
The requests have been programmed so that the transactions are shortest
as possible,
and i have updated all the clients with completes version of firebird.
I have tried everything so that this does not take place.
Thanks for your commentaries.
