Hello,
I am new to Firebird, read most of the manuals. In the InterBase 6 API
Guide on page 81 it states: "InterBase requires that all transaction handles
be declared when an application is compiled." I don't find it saying the
same thing about database handles or statement handles, only transaction
handles.
Is this requirement restricted to only transactions handles?
Is this a requirement in Firebird as well as Interbase?
Why can't the transaction handle be declared dynamically at runtime?
Regards,
Robert
