Subject Data on a mapped drive
Author Jason Ryan
Hi,

I've got a client who really wants the data on a mapped drive from the
firebird server, and they do not want to install the firebird server
onto the server where the data file is sitting.

I've searched google and google groups and have seen that this is "not
possible", but as a last resort I thought I would ask if there is some
work around or hack that could make this possible? I noticed the
"RemoteFileOpenAbility" setting in the firebird.conf file, but toggling
the value does not seem to make any difference.

Any help would be grateful!

Cheers,
Jason
