The scenenario is :

The pharmacy "XX" consists of three branches (A,B,C), each one in a point
different from the city
- Each branch has a small LAN with 3 Pc's.
- One Pc run FB 1.5 Superserver and at the same time works like server and
workstation .
- Other two Pc are only workstations.
All machines are Duron 1.3 Ghz with 40 GB HD.
All machines have Windows 98 SE.
In each branch, the PC that acts like server has formed with the IP 192.168.0.1
, and Submask 255.255.255.0
The pharmaceutical software are made in Delphi 5 and access to the FB server
with Fibplus components.
In each branch , the connection string to the database is :
192.168.0.1:PharmDatabase (PharmDatabase is the alias to "c:\pharm\pharmdb.fdb"
in the aliases.conf file)
In each branch the implementation works very fine , no problems.
Each branch must be connected by means of a special module to the FB server of
the other branches in order to make transferences of stock and updates of
prices, statistics, consultations of remote stocks ,etc etc etc.
This connection is made over internet with dial-up or adsl.
Using Dynu services (www.dynu.com) each branch knows the IP the other branches
and the module use this IP for the remote connection to the server.(example :
200.43.23.45:PharmDatabase)
Well...when the branch try to connect to the remote server the connection is
rejected (win error 10060, connection timeout)
I have made the following test in my office lan.
My Pc with FB server is connected to internet with adsl.
I have disconnected of local network one of the PC and i connect it to Internet
with dialup, simulating a remote branch.
When I have tried to connect to the database of the FB server in my PC, it
appears the same error (10060) :(
Ping to my IP works fine, but no connection to the FB server.
With IBOconsole in the lan-disconnected machine (but connected to internet with
dialup) i tested the connection to the FB server at my Pc....error 10060 :(
Ping : OK
Test remote port 3050 : FAILED (error 10060)
Next i reconnected the PC to the LAN and test the connection to the my Pc FB
server using the ADSL- IP of my Pc with the following results:
Ping : OK
Test remote port 3050 : PASSED OK.
Connection to remote FB Server : FAILED
"unable to complet network request to host "200.114.168.39" , Failed to
establish a connection
it has not been possible to establish the connection since the destiny equipment
has denied this connection actively"

why I can connect using directions IP of my LAN but I cannot do using it the IP
of Internet?
Any ideas ?
