Fb 1.5 has ODS 10.1 (not 10.0 like IB 6 and Fb1.0) - the minor difference
could make a noticeable difference to performance. Indexes were added to
some system tables.

I would take a gbak of the IB6 database, restore it (using Fb 1.5's gbak,
of course) using the -create option, and archive the IB6 database.
