Delphi 5, FB 1.5 and IBO 4.3.A. My app runs 24/7. Some client
computers are Win 98 and NT 4.0. I have encountered the condition
where, overnight, the connection to the FB database server has been
dropped, I believe because the default SO_KEEPALIVE timeout value is
2hrs. Rather than modifying the registry on client machines, would it
be sufficient to ping the database server from the application on an
interval less than the 2 hour default interval? Thanks.
