XP Home or Professional?
XP is not 'licensed' to be used as a server - according to the agreement
you signed when loading it :)
It does work, but the first question is - IS the built in firewall
switched off?

Run FB1.5 on the W2k machine - I have never had any problems that way
round! But the XP machines have been nothing but trouble ;)

I'm NOT. Another thing to try is using the IP address rather than the
machine name for the server - you do have the machine name in BOTH host
files?
