Do you connect by tcp/ip or netbios? I had the same problem, connecting
with netbios - it was gone, when I changed connection tcp/ip. Another
way to go around it was to make directory of security.fdb shared on the
network when using netbios.
However I still do not have any clue what was causing it, and making it
freeze.
