Hi Johan,
the datafile(s). Clients should NOT have access to that file
directly.
Firebird can run on Win98, but it's highly reccomended you
use a standalone server, Win 2000/XP/2003 instead of Win9x
for a database server application. Linux would be a very fine
choice as well. Win98 simply isn't stable, and this becomes
much worse when it's also in use as a workstation.
