I like many here gave up on the Borland interfaces a long
time ago. I've never used the dbExpress stuff since IBO
actually worked with IB5 and 6 and saved my sanity.

Even if the IB driver works well enough for you, there will
come a point when the differences between FB and IB become a
problem, so why not start from a stable base and not have to
change later? There are a few options that do support FB
properly, just have a look at
