An colleague of mine suggested installing the software, turning off the
'active' agents, except the one that downloads the updates (even that
one if they are pushed), then if an virus hits the network, an manual
scan can be kicked of on the DB server to scan for and correct any
infection should one happen, otherwise, there is little to no impact on
performance, etc.
