Unless you have a reason to stick with windows, you may want to consider using
Linux for your future use.. It can be set up with a strong firewall.. also,
you wouldn't really need to worry much about virii... and FB runs on Linux as
well.. and with the new 2.6 kernels, it might benefit a lot from
multiprocessor machines as well.. And you could run it on less modest
hardware as well..
