using XanaNews 1.16.1.7

Do prefer a proper news client - but I'm older than most :)

It's true, you can. But all of the main Firebird lists are mirrored to a
newsgroup interface at news://news.atkin.com
For historical reasons, the mirror for this list is egroups.ib-support.

To post news messages from the news mirrors you need to be a subscribed
member of the particular list you post to.
