hi,

i need to install firebird 1.5 on my RedHat 7.3 box.
RPM install failed complaining about shared libraries.
I also could not compile it from source since it needs gcc 3.2 while i
have gcc 2.95.3
Is there any way to get it compiled or i need firebird statically
compiled against libraries? How to compile it statically? (note, i'm
not good in gcc nor in any c compiler).
