Thanks for that. Yes, I'm using events. Initially they didn't work
(the clients never received any events) so I set the RemoteAuxPort in
firebird.conf to 3057, which appears to work....

I'll try running TCPView on the server tomorrow to see if anything
else is attempting to use that port (or 3050).
