There are different versions of IBExpert: full (commercial), personal and
educational (limited to a 50 MB database). The personal edition has no
limitation regarding the database size. There are some features missing,
but you can live without them ( I do for 1,5 years).

You can live without IBExpert, I guess. But give it a try, and you wil never
look back at IBAccess (BTW, I'm also working in win/Linux and I've tried
several administration consoles...including IBAccess).

As I've told you, IBExpert personal edition is free
(http://www.hksoftware.net/download/). You don't need to reinvent the wheel :)
