Hi!

From what I understand, it seems to be possible to install FB 1.5 over
top of IB 6.0. I'd just like to be 100% sure that it won't cause IB to
stop working before I do anything. I would like to install FB 1.5 on my
development machine, just to test, and see what it's like, and how it
compares. But will still be needing to have a reliable IB 6.0 that I can
count on! So is it safe to install FireBird?

I understand that I would have to use a port other than the default 3050
(obviously), but if I install FB, won't it by default take 3050? Is
there any risk of it overwriting existing IB configuration (e.g. in the
services file)?
