dear Friends,

We are using Firebird/Interbase 6.0 for last 3-1/2 Years.
earlier Server was P-II 64 MB RAM Suse 7.2 Pro and Firebird 1.03
The Interest calculation Process was running in 5 to 10 Min.

We upgraded Server to P-III 128 MB RAM Suse 8.2 Pro and FB 1.5 RC8
By changing the Mother Board and Fresh Install of Suse 8.2
Surprisingly same process is taking more than One Hour
on New Combination (we reseted the Server Before it Completes) .

We could not install RC 9 and Final RPM at all as Yast2 hangs while
installing these two packages. Only RC-8 can be Installed.

Please note that GDB from Previous server was copied as it is
on New Server. ODS is 10.0 for the GDB.

Similarly Database validation and Sweep was taking about 4 to 5
Min now it takes more than 1 hr. (Again we resetted Server)
Some times and Some times it finishes in 15 to 20 Min.

The Database size is about 120 MB and Total No of record
in all the tables together is about 900,000, Main
Transaction table contains about 600,000, then second highest
tables contain about 15,000 records

Can Somebody help us in this Matter.

Please Note That Same .gdb and exe tested on FB 1.5 win 32
on Dell Lattitude 840 P-IV, 256 BM Ram, 30 GB IDE, XP Pro
The process finishes with in 1 to 2 Mins. though exe and
FB Server is Running on Same M/C.
