Certainly there is no violation of the license agreement. :-))

No, it doesn't.

You can right-click on the service in the Services applet and select the
Properties dialog, where you can add a description manually into the blank
Description field. It will persist after rebooting, etc.

Still, it would be user-friendly thing to do automatically for these
Windows installs. Put it an urgent request to firebird-devel, in case
there is still time to do this tweak to instsvc.exe before the
release. Mark it ATTN Dmitry Yemanov.
