It isn't a multi-install thing nightmare.
The issue discussed in this thread, Helen, is *NOT* an issue with
instclient doing or not doing what it should do or the user using it
correctly or not. Not at all.

The issue is just that some recent additions (over some previous RC) to
the exported API by fbclient (isc_get_client_version and associated)
fools IBX into thinking the client interface does not support Services
API. The versioning of the DLL itself can get any value, for this issue
IBX test something else. And this was reported and discovered post-RC8.

Solution is to force these API to return a fixed compatibility value.
That decision was taken. I'll double check CVS to confirm it done.
