*multi-file* databases -- "just because you can doesn't mean you should"
There is NO benefit to multi-file databases! They had their place when
large disks and RAID controllers were expensive, but that hasn't been
true for 2-4 years.
In fact, I would argue there some serious operational issues which
work's against them.
