Hi,
(firebird 1.5 / linux)
We are using firebird on a linux installed on a r/o root filesystem
(compact flash).
There is a /data filesystem mounted in r/w (compact flash too),
containing:
isc_init1.hostname
isc_lock1.hostname
security.fdb
the-database.fdb
(the files which should be in /opt/firebird are replaced by symbolics
links on /data/* )
There is also a r/w /tmp filesystem, which is a ram disk.
Question: is it safe to move the isc_*1.hostname files on the /tmp ram
disk?
At first glance, it seems to work. But is there any drawback?
Best regards,
